ICM's Boon: "Referendum has the potential to be a polling 'Waterloo', the biggest since 1992"

I've just listened to BBC Radio 4's more or less programme, including interviews with anthony wells and martin boon, interview, the replay of which is now up here (starting at 5:20).

What I found really interesting (and refreshingly candid) was his admission that the pollsters might all have got this spectacularly wrong and actually mentioned 1992. He also seemed concerned about a patriotic ‘spiral of silence’ that causes ‘yes’ to be overstated.

It’s definitely worth a listen.
